iron / iron sources
  • Functions
Iron has an important role as a constituent of haemoglobin and myoglobin (red pigment responsible for the absorption and transport of oxygen); iron is essential in metabolism as a component of a group of enzymes important in cell respiration. Deficiency leads to anaemia.
  • Main sources of iron
Iron sulphate is by far the main iron source in premix and feed-mixtures.
  • Quality parameters
    Free flowing
A few important advantages of this free-flowing sulphate are the avoidance of caking, the ability to make homogeneous mixtures as well as its excellent stability.

Bioavailability
