  • Identification CAS Nr. 7720-78-7
  • Process Ferrous sulphate is a by-product from the production of titanium dioxide or from the production of steel. For use as feed-ingredient this ferrous sulphate is being dried or treated with anti-caking to ensure stability and free-flowingness.
  • Chemical characteristics (typical)
    Fe 19.5 % Cd < 0.1 ppm
    Mg 0.7 % Cu < 1 ppm
    Ca 0.3 % Cr < 10 ppm
    SO4 0.4 % Ni < 50 ppm
    Insolubles   Zn < 30 ppm
    in water 0.6 % Pb < 5 ppm
        Hg < 0.1 ppm
  • Physical properties (typical)
    Apparent density
    0.8 kg/dm³
    Appearance
    free-flowing crystals
    Colour
    pale bluish green
  • Handling / storage / toxicity
Handling no special precautions necessary if used correctly.
      Prevent formation of dust
Storage stable for min. one year when stored under roof and not warmer than 35 °C
    Toxicity non toxic
  • Specific advantages
avoidance of “caking” effect and the ability to make homogeneous mixtures
very good storage stability in dry state
    low content of insolubles
    low content of heavy metals

    free flowing
