To all EU-located scientific researchers working in the field of animal mineral nutrition EMFEMA, at the occasion of its 10th anniversary in April 2005, EMFEMA has established a 2-yearly award of € 5.000 (five thousand Euros) to promote research and investigation on the use, benefits and safety of inorganic minerals in animal nutrition. The award may be granted by EMFEMA to researchers, research groups and research organizations which either 1.have carried out research on inorganic minerals that has lead to significant advance in animal production, a higher product quality, and/or 2. have developed and articulated a specific, concrete project for future research focussing on increased animal production, a higher product quality, a better food and feed safety and/or improved environmental conditions through the use of inorganic minerals in animal feeds.
EMFEMA’s Board will appoint a scientific jury to evaluate the scripts and to advice in order to grant the price with a scientifically-based motivation. Interested parties should send their paper (5 copies) to the EMFEMA secretariat by 30 April 2007 latest (closing date) The solemn proclamation is foreseen to take place during the October 2007 General Meeting.
